Installing and Configuring the AEM 6.5.3 JEE Patch
Complete the following steps to install and configure the AEM 6.5.3 JEE, Java Enterprise Edition, Patch Installer:
1. Back up the folder <AEM Installation>/deploy. This is useful when you uninstall the quick fix.
2. Stop the JBoss for your AEM application server.
3. In case of error message, click OK, open your task manager, find and select java.exe, and click End Task. Do not confuse it with javaw.exe, which is the installer.
4. Navigate to the directory where you extracted the ZIP file of the installer: AEM_Server_patch\AEMForms-6.5.0-0007_jboss_win\Disk1\InstData\VM, then run as administrator the aemforms65_cfp_install.exe file. This launches an install wizard that guides you through the installation.
5. On the introduction screen, click Next.
6. On the Choose Install Folder screen, verify that the default location displayed is correct for your existing installation, or click Browse to select the alternate folder where AEM forms is installed, and click Next.
7. Read the AEM Forms 6.5 Patch Summary information and click Next.
8. Read the ADOBE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT KIT LICENSE AGREEMENT, select Accept the terms of the License Agreement, then click Next.
9. Read the Pre-Installation Summary information and click Install.
10. When the installation is complete, click Next to apply the patch updates to your installed files, then on the next screen, click Done to run the Configuration Manager.

The Start Configuration Manager check box is selected by default, you can clear this option to run the Configuration Manager later by using the appropriate script in the <AEM Installation>\configurationManager\bin directory.
11. Navigate to <AEM Installation>\configurationManager\bin, back up the folder, and open the files ConfigurationManager.lax and ConfigurationManager_IPv6.lax in editor.
12. Search for any axis or axis-<version>, and replace it with axis-1.4.1.1.
13. In the same folder, double-click the ConfigurationManager.exe file, and follow the steps in chapter Configuring the AEM Installation and Completing the AEM Installation.
14. Click Done to run the Configuration Manager.
15. After installing the patch and configuring the server, delete tmp and the work directories of JBoss application server.
