Setting Parameters > Author States Options for the Creo View Adapter for Creo Parametric
Use the Author States tab to control the conversion of Author States from Creo Parametric.
*
Author State settings for Creo Parametric, for Creo View 3.1 and earlier, are in Parameters > Miscellaneous.
1. Select one or more of the following Author States to include in the conversion to Creo View:
All States
Simplified Reps
Orientations
Explodes
Sections
Pro/Process Sequences
2. Select a filter option for each selected Author State.
3. For the filter Include and Exclude, in the text box, specify the Author States to include or exclude:
None—Does not convert any of the available author states.
All—Converts all available author states.
Include—Includes only the author states entered in the text box.
Exclude—Excludes only the author states entered in the text box.
You can add multiple items in the text box, separated by , “comma”. Wildcard characters (* and ?) are supported.
Additional Information
If Publish is selected for an author state in the View Manager in Creo Parametric, that state takes precedent over recipe settings for those Author states.
Only the published combined state in Creo Parametric is published to Creo View viewables, and it takes precedence over combined state filter available in the recipe settings.
To convert and view All States, also known as Combined States, use the recipe option All State Activate Mode under All states. There are three alternatives:
As Required (default)—Activates an All State if the adapter requires it. An example is annotations that are part of an All State that are referring to cross sections, or modified views which are the result of simplified representations.
None—Does not activate any All State during conversion.
All—Activates each All State, including converting annotations, views, and others.
*
For Minimum Memory and Positioning Assembly Conversion, the setting for Activate Mode is ignored. For example, None of the All State is activated while converting, regardless of Activate Mode setting.
Activating All State may impact the publishing performance. In interactive publishing, you may observe shuffling between All States due to activation.
See Publishing Creo Parametric Author States for more information about Author States.
