About Double Precision Memory Format
You can configure the Creo View Adapter to store PVS and OL files in double precision memory format. Double precision is a computer numbering format that occupies two adjacent storage locations in computer memory and provides a more precise method of storing data. Only files loaded while double precision is activated will contain double precision data.
Creo View files with double precision content are also supported by the following applications:
Windchill and later
Creo View (read only)
Creo Parametric
Creo Direct
Double precision support increases PVS file size by about five percent and OL geometry content size by about twenty-five percent. The tessellation data size within the Creo View OL files remains unchanged.
