Updating the Creo View Adapter and Recipe Editor Version
When you update a Creo View Adapters version, you need to also update the Recipe file because recipe settings could have changed or been added.
1. From your Creo View Adapter setup folder, select adapter.pvi, or use Windows Explorer to browse to the <installation_directory>\bin directory in which you installed the Creo View Adapter and then double-click the configuration utility for the adapter to be updated, for instance proe2pv_config.
2. Select > . Browse to the setup folder of the adapter to be updated.
3. Select > and specify the server version number of your Windchill server. This ensures that the output PVS file format can be read by your server.
4. If required, edit the other settings in the Parameters and Components panels for the new setup.
5. Click Test Server button to validate the server connection and configuration.
6. Click Setup to generate the configuration, and then OK to overwrite the existing setup.
7. Click Recipe Editor to launch the Recipe Editor to open the Recipe file in the newly updated setup.
8. Validate the Recipe settings are correct and click Save to overwrite the existing Recipe file.
