Supported SolidWorks File Types and Entities

These file types are supported by the Creo View Adapter for SolidWorks:

SolidWorks Extension	CAD Data Type
.sldasm .asm	Assembly
.slddrw .drw	Drawing
.sldprt .prt	Part

The default output of SolidWorks *.slddrw drawings, is PDF files.

The adapter also supports entities from SolidWorks:

• Solid

• Quilt

• Density attribute

• SWX configuration

• Parameter

Solidworks does not support visualization of assembly features from the Windchill dynamic structures.

You cannot automatically publish SolidWorks CAD Attributes as Creo View Structure Properties using the Creo View Adapter for SolidWorks. However, for server controlled publishing, you can use the Workgroup Manager to map SolidWorks CAD Attributes to Windchill IBAs. The IBAs are added to the Creo View structure published to Windchill.
