Understanding Chord Height, Angle Control, and Step Size in Output for Creo Parametric
ChordHeight, AngleControl, and StepSize are standard export controls from Creo Parametric. They are supported only when the conversion involves a facet. For more information, search the Creo Parametric Help Center for the topic Controlling the Quality of Export. The topic About Part Accuracy may also prove helpful. Then, read the important supplemental information in this topic for details about setting the values using the adapter.
For ChordHeight and StepSize, set a value that is a factor of the maximum dimension of the model where the model size is the length of the bounding box diagonal of the model. AngleControl is not a factor of model size. Increasing the values affects the tessellation and the size of the output file as follows:
ChordHeight and StepSize—Coarser tessellation and smaller file size
AngleControl—Finer tessellation and larger file size
