Using PVS Optimize as PVS Change
By default, the pvsoptimize tool, optimizes and removes as much unnecessary content as possible. This differs from the pvschange tool which by default, retains all content and then must be modified to remove content as required. When using pvsoptimize, you might want to start with default options that are similar to the default options for pvschange. If this is the case, use the additional recipe file, pvsoptimize_as_pvschange, to start with a configuration that is similar to pvschange.
To use the pvsoptimize_as_pvschange recipe file, complete the following steps:
1. Go to the setup folder for pvsoptimize.
2. Rename the file pvsoptimize.rcp to pvsoptimize.rcp.old.
3. In your Adapter installation folder, go to the recipe folder.
4. From the recipe folder, copy pvsoptimize_as_pvschange.rcp to the setup folder for pvsoptimize.
5. Rename pvsoptimize_as_pvschange.rcp to pvsoptimize.rcp.
When running the worker mode or the batch mode, it uses the renamed file pvsoptimize.rcp.
