Creating Log Files for File Conversion
You can set one or both of the environment variables, but you must set them one at a time. Instructions follow.
1. Open a command prompt and type one of these arguments:
set PVIEW_TRACE=<fullpath\filename>—Creates a log file saved to the file name and location you set.
set PVIEW_TRACE=stdout—Sends log messages to the Attributes panel of Creo View.
2. Press ENTER.
3. To set the other environment variable, type its argument and press ENTER.
4. Browse to <installation_directory>\bin, drag pview_batch.exe into the command prompt, and then press ENTER. Creo View opens with the environment variables set.
Now that you have set one or both of the environment variables, you can publish ECAD files with logs of the publishing process. Continue to the next section for information about modifying the control settings for some file formats.
