About the Creo View ECAD Adapters
You can use the Creo View ECAD Adapters to convert PCB Layout and Schematic design files to a format readable by Creo View. The conversion process is called publishing. There are three publishing methods:
Interactive—Adds a Creo View menu to the ECAD tool. You can open, inspect, and change the file before publishing it. You can also use the menu to cross-select data to and from Creo View.
Command-line—Publishes one or more files via a command line interface. This method is also referred to as batch publishing.
Server-controlled—Publishes one or more files in the background using a visualization server. This method is also referred to as worker publishing.
The adapter scripts created are named according to their ECAD tool and the publishing method. For example, these are the names of the files for the Cadence Allegro PCB Designer adapter:
Interactive—Allegro2pvpublish
Command-line—Allegro2pvbatch
Server-controlled—Allegro2pvworker
