About Loading Creo Unite Assemblies
A Creo Unite assembly is a 3D CAD assembly that contains both Creo Parametric file types and other CAD file types. Creo Unite files are created in Creo Parametric. You can load Creo Unite files into Creo View like Creo Parametric *.prt and *.asm files.
The following 3D CAD file types are supported:
• SolidWorks—*.sldasm,*.sldprt
• CATIA V5—*.cgr,*.CATPart,*.CATProduct
• NX—*.prt
In the assembly directory on the local disk, the wrapper file name has the form filename.extension.creo and functions like any other file. In Windchill the wrapper is named filename.creo and is stored as secondary content alongside the original.
