About Selecting Combined Parts
If you select a combined part, the part’s parent, and all parts that are combined with that parent, are also selected.
The default selection highlighting for combined and non-combined parts in the figure window (or Structure Edit window in Structure Edit mode) is described below.
• All selected combined parts appear in bounding boxes in the primary selection highlight color.
• All non-combined child parts of the selected parent are highlighted in the secondary selection highlighting color.
A combined part gets a single figure callout and item list entry by default. When you translate, rotate, or explode a combined item in a figure, all parts and assemblies it includes move as a single object.
