About Adding Steps to a Sequence
Add steps to a figure to create a sequence. You can either insert new steps or append them. By default, the steps you add are named sequentially Step 1, Step 2, …Step n whether you insert or append them.
*
After you add a step, you can edit its default name.
The first step you add, Step 1, starts as a copy of the figure (also known as sequence “Step 0”). You make changes to the figure in Step 1 and add information, such as instructions, descriptions, and tagged callouts and symbols, and then, you add Step 2.
Step 2 starts as a copy the figure at the end of Step 1. Each subsequent step starts as a copy of the figure at the end of the step before it. The changes you make in a step determine its end state and the starting state of the step after it.
