To Place a Shield Port on a Cable Decoration
1. Select the cable to shield in the design, or open a cable sheet from the Catalog Explorer.
3. Place the pointer over the selected cable's decoration. The pointer changes to
. Click to automatically place the shield portshape in a suitable position (a shield portshape can be invisible).

4. Right-click and choose Exit from the shortcut menu. After you place the shield portshape, you can route a shield wire. When multiple shield portshapes are added to a decoration, the cable decorations can be daisy-chained when they are connected to another shield.
5. To route the shield wire click > .
6. In the design, click the shield portshape on the decoration, and then route the shield fiber. In an open cable sheet, route the shield fiber.
7. Click a component port to terminate the fiber, or right-click and choose Terminate from the shortcut menu.
