To Create a Cross-referenced Shape for a Variable Group
Creating the cross-referenced Member Shapes
1. Create a new shape for each group member to be used as a cross-referenced shape.
2. Create a label for the shape using the Cross reference function option.
3. Select the shape in the Catalog Explorer and click on the right side of the dialog box. The Group Properties dialog box opens.
4. Select the Cross ref shape check box. The shape is now designated as a cross-referenced shape for a variable group.
5. Click OK.
Creating the Cross-referenced Groupshape
1. Create a new groupshape to be used as a cross-referenced shape.
2. Create labels for the group members in the shape.
3. Select the shape in the Catalog Explorer and click on the right side of the dialog box. The Group Properties dialog box opens.
4. Select the Cross ref shape check box. The shape is now designated as the variable group cross-referenced shape.
5. To assign a group member as the master shape, click Assign Master. The Select new master for <group member name> dialog box opens.
6. Select a group member to be the master for the group.
7. Click OK.
8. Click Apply to configure additional parameters or OK to quite the dialog box.
