You can embed sensors into your new design, or add them on top of existing data. Connect these sensors to specific design elements. Drive the sensors that are in Creo Parametric, with real-world data usage. This data is retrieved from ThingWorx, for the product in the field. Set your design to the selected real-world context.
In Creo Parametric 4.0 M020, you can perform the following actions with Creo Product Insight Extension:
Define sensors by assigning new sensor functionality to a part or assembly. Use a predefined XML file or manually create sensor parameters to drive your assembly design elements.
Use sensors in normal design assemblies as an integral part of your new product design.
Create new instrumented assemblies, enabling existing design data to be sensor driven. Leverage flexibility-on-the-fly functionality to make changes to the instrumented assembly without changing the source assembly.
Use the Sensor Info and Setup tool to see a full overview of sensors and for interaction and publishing to ThingWorx for connection definitions.
Connect to a ThingWorx server to select data for a product in the field and load this data back into the sensors, or load an external sensor data file without a ThingWorx server connection.
View the loaded sensor data and run selected data slices, updating the design into the selected sensor data context.
Add analysis features and run Creo Simulate analyses driven by the selected sensor data.
Use calculated sensors to secure analysis results, automatically adding them into the Creo sensor data table.
Assemble an external simplified representation inside another external simplified representation.
