Move Is Enhanced in Creo Flexible Modeling
You can move partially constrained transformation definitions and datums, and quilts on their own, without moving the geometry.
User Interface Location: Click Flexible Modeling > Move.
Release: Creo Parametric 4.0
Benefits and Description
You can watch a video that demonstrates this capability.
The Move tool is enhanced in Flexible Modeling so that you can use partially constrained transformation definitions when you define a move using constraints. You can define the move transformation quickly by only defining the constraints that you need as they relate to the degree of freedom being affected by the move. You no longer have to fully define the constraint set. This reduces unnecessary steps in the move definition and speeds up the operation.
You can move datums and quilts individually. Previously there was a limitation that they must move together with solid geometry. When moving a default datum, a transformed copy of the selected default datum is automatically created, instead of moving it. This ensures that default datums remain unchanged.
Also, Free Move is changed. The transformation applied in Free Move is invariant to source geometry changes, giving you more predictable results.
