BETA Version of Creo Topology Optimization Is Available
A BETA version of Creo Topology Optimization Extension is available for testing. Creo Topology Optimization Extension is added to the Creo Simulate family of extensions.
User Interface Location: Click Applications > Topology Optimization.

BETA Version of Creo Topology Optimization Is AvailableWhat is the benefit of this enhancement?
Creo Topology Optimization Extension and Creo Topology Optimization Extension Plus uses VR&D (Vanderplaats Research & Development, Inc.) technology to create topology optimization studies. This optimizes your 3D model geometry to meet design goals such as reducing mass, minimizing stress, or minimizing displacement.
• Creo Topology Optimization Extension
◦ The Topology Optimization study can consider up to 3 unique analyses in the design objective and design constraints definitions, to generate the geometry.
◦ You can define structural and modal analysis types.
◦ Available fabrication constraints are symmetry, cyclic symmetry, extrusion and filling.
• Creo Topology Optimization Extension Plus
◦ The topology optimization study considers unlimited unique analyses in the design objective and design constraints definitions, to generate the geometry.
◦ You can define structural, modal and thermal analysis types.
◦ Available fabrication constraints are symmetry, cyclic symmetry, extrusion and filling, stamping, uniform, filling symmetrically, radial filling, radial spokes and periodic.
Both extensions can perform multiple objectives and multiple constraint studies. The output of the topology optimization process can be a tessellated one, if required. However, a distinctive capability is the automatic creation of a B-rep (boundary representation) model. You can then adjust the optimized 3D model using freestyle tools in Creo Parametric 5.0.0.0.

Limitations: | In Creo 5.0.0.0, you cannot combine multiple analyses types. Therefore, you can have only one type of analysis per optimization study. |
