To Extrude Mesh Elements
1. Create or import a shape.
2. Select one or more faces or edges on the control mesh. A dragger appears on the mesh element that you last selected.
3. Right-click the graphics window and select
. Alternatively, click
Freestyle >
Extrude. The selected mesh elements are extruded. You can preview the extruded geometry in the graphics window.
4. Pull the handles of the dragger to adjust the shape of the extruded geometry.
5. To extrude a mesh element in a linear direction, perform the following steps:
a. Select a face or an edge on the control mesh. A dragger appears on the selection.
b. Hold down the ALT key and pull a handle of the dragger. The selected face or the edge is extruded in the direction of the handle movement.
