To Work with the Creo Topology Optimization Examples
The examples contain models that are already set up for topology optimization. Use the models to explore where you define different items that you can include in an optimization study. The models also contain studies that you can open and explore the results. You can reconstruct a new model based on the study results.
1. Open the model for the example.
2. On the Applications tab, click Topology Optimization. The Home tab opens, and displays the Creo Topology Optimization environment.
3. To explore how an item is set up, in the Model Tree, right-click the item and select Edit Definition. The tool used to define the item opens.
For example, to view the regions that are excluded from the optimization, in the Model Tree, expand Topology Objects and Topology Regions. Right-click the desired topology region and select Edit Definition.
4. To explore the study results, in the Model Tree, expand Optimization Studies, and then right-click the desired optimization study and select Show Results. The Results tab opens.
5. To create an optimized model from the study results:
To construct a new tessellated (faceted) model, click Results > New Model > Tessellated Model Only.
To construct a new b-rep model, click Results > New Model > Geometry Reconstruction.
