Guidelines for Bonding Elements
Select the Show Bonding Elements check box on the Display Options tab of the Result Window Definition dialog box to display bonding elements in the result window. Keep in mind the following points when you view a model with bonding elements in the result window:
You can select the Show Bonding Elements check box on the Display Options tab when you select All on the Display Location tab of the Result Window Definition dialog box.
When you select Fringe or Model as the Display Type, bonding elements in the model appear in uniform gray color in the result window. They do not display any fringes or contours.
When you select Model as the Display Type and select the Shade Surfaces check box on the Display Options tab of the Result Window Definition dialog box, the bonding elements in the model appear in gray color.
You cannot use probes such as Dynamic Query and cutting and capping surfaces for bonding elements in the model.
You cannot view the bonding elements in a model in its deformed state. When you select the Deformed or Animate check box on the Display Options tab, you cannot select the Show Bonding Elements check box.
In the FEM mode, you can display element IDs and node IDs for bonding elements using the command Info > Display Element IDs and Info > Display Node IDs.
Creo Simulate ignores the contribution of bonding elements while evaluating any measures.
ANSYS and NASTRAN solvers do not support bonding elements.
