Standalone Mode
Standalone mode has essentially the same functionality as integrated mode, but you can run it independently of Creo Parametric. Unlike integrated mode, you do not need a Parametric license to run standalone mode.
However, you cannot create or modify solid geometry using standalone mode. To use standalone mode, you must first open an existing Creo Parametric model or a model from another CAD system.
Refer to the topic “File Types Supported in Creo Simulate Standalone” for a list of file formats supported in Creo Simulate standalone mode.
Once your model is opened, you can perform simulation modeling, analysis and design studies and view simulation results. You can also modify and create units and systems of units in Creo Simulate standalone.
