Example: Evaluation Methods
The Root Mean Square value is useful if your mechanism's motion includes values that oscillate symmetrically around zero.
The figure graphs the velocity of a rotational motion axis. The three plots use three evaluation methods: Each Time Step, Average, and Root Mean Square. The Average value tends toward zero over time, but the Root Mean Square value remains positive and indicates the magnitude of the velocity.
