To Recognize Geometry as Not Sheet Metal Design Objects
1. In an open sheet metal part, click Flexible Modeling.
2. Click the arrow below Not Sheet Metal Objects and select an option from the list.
Not Bends—Opens the Not Bends dialog box.
Not Bend Reliefs—Opens the Not Bend Reliefs dialog box.
Not Corner Reliefs—Opens the Not Corner Reliefs dialog box.
Not Corner Seam—Opens the Not Corner Seams dialog box.
Not Forms—Opens the Not Forms dialog box.
3. To manually select geometry for the specified sheet metal design object, move the mouse over the part and select any or all of the surfaces that highlight. The design objects detected based on the selected references appear in the Attributes box.
4. To automatically select geometry for all specified sheet metal objects, click Automatic selection. All features that meet the criteria are automatically selected.
The Attributes box shows the number of individual features selected and their attributes.
5. To locate forms on a reference surface, click the Locate objects on references and tag as Form collector during manual selection.
6. To change the feature name, click Properties and type a new name in the Name box.
Click to display information in the browser.
7. Click OK. The feature is created and is visible in the Model Tree and in the Design Objects Tree when you set it to be visible.
