To Create an Edge Rip
1. Click
Model >
Rip >
Edge Rip. The
Edge Rip tab opens.
2. Click Placement. The Placement tab opens.
3. Select one or more edges or chains of edge references to add to the set of edge rips.
4. Select an edge treatment type from the list.
◦ For Blind and Gap, set the dimensions.
◦ For Overlap, if required perform any of the following operations:
▪ Click Add Gap and set a value for the dimension.
▪ Click Flip to reverse the wall overlap direction.
|  You can set the edge treatment type and any required dimensions for Gap, Blind, and Overlap in the Edge Treatment area of the Sheetmetal Preferences dialog box, or in the Parameters dialog box. |
5. To create a new set of edge rips, click New Set and add any additional edges to rip. For each set, define any required dimensions.
