To Set Piping Configuration Options
PTC recommends that you set the Piping configuration options before you start designing piping systems.
1. Click File > Options > Configuration Editor. A table displays the configuration options that are set for the current session.
2. To add an option, click Add. The Add Option dialog box opens.
a. Type a name in the Option name box.
b. To change the default value, select a new value from the Option value list.
c. Click Browse to set a directory path. The Select Directory dialog box opens.
d. Browse to the directory and click OK. The Option value box displays the directory path.
e. Click OK in the Add Option dialog box. The configuration option and its value are added to the list.
3. To find an option or the descriptions of different options, click Find. The Find Option dialog box opens.
a. Type a part or keyword of the option or description in the Type keyword box.
 
* You must click the Search descriptions check box when you enter a keyword for the description.
b. Select a category from the Look in list.
c. Click Find now. A list of configuration options and their descriptions that match the search criteria appear in the table.
d. Select a configuration option from the table. The default value of the configuration option appears in the Set value list box.
e. To change the default value, select a value from the Set value list box.
f. Click Add / Change. The configuration option and its value are added to the list.
4. To change the value of a configuration option in the list, click its value in the Value column and select a value from the list or type a new value.
5. Click OK.
