To Insert and Modify a Pipeline in Another Pipeline
1. In an active pipeline click Insert Pipeline. The Insert Pipeline tool tab opens.
2. To select a different reference pipeline, click in the dashboard or the References panel. The Select Source Assembly dialog box opens.
3. Select the source assembly and click Open. The selected assembly displays in the COMPONENT WINDOW.
4. Select the segment.
5. Click References to open the References panel.
6. To select a different segment, right-click in the Segment Collector and choose Remove from the shortcut menu.
7. To select more than one segment, click Details. The Segment Collection dialog box opens.
8. Select a Rule:
Single Segment—A single segment is selected.
Seed & Boundary—All pipe segments from the start segment to all boundaries are selected.
All Pipeline—All segments from the start point to all free ends are selected.
9. Select the insertion point. Click or to step through the ends of the pipeline being inserted to define the insertion point.
10. When you start the insertion from a free port fitting, you must select a coordinate system as the insertion point. The point selected appears in the Insertion Point box in the References panel and dashboard.
11. Click Angle and select a new Direction Reference, such as an edge or axis.
12. Type a value for the Rotation angle to define pipeline twist.
13. When the direction reference is a CSYS you can change the insertion direction. There are five directions, two directions for X and Y and plus Z.

Click an axis in the graphics window.
Right-click in the graphics window and choose Next direction.
