Location Options
The table below lists the commands when you set a start point or insert a branch on a pipe segment.
Command
Description
Sets the start point the specified distance from an end of the selected segment. Drag the handle or type a value to specify the distance from the corner.
Sets the start point the specified length ratio from an end of the selected segment. Drag the handle or type a value to specify the ratio from the corner.
Sets the start point on the specified distance from the corner.
Sets the start point at the specified distance from a selected plane. Select a plane and type a value for the distance.
Sets the start point the specified distance from a fitting.
 
* When you use the first two commands the following applies:
Click or to reference the opposite end of the pipe segment.
* When you use a fitting to set the location the following applies:
Click or to flip the reference port of the fitting.
You can select another fitting on the same pipeline for reference.
You cannot flip the placement location of an elbow fitting.
When the size for the set start or branch feature are different from those of the main pipeline you can set an offset.
Command
Description
Offsets from the centerline of the main pipe to the centerline of the branch pipe.
Offsets from the top or bottom of the main pipe to the top or bottom of the branch pipe.
