To Read in Spline Coordinates From a File
You can modify the coordinates of points on a spline by reading spline coordinates from a file.
1. Select the spline you want to modify.
2. Right-click and choose Modify on the shortcut menu. The Spline tab opens.
3. Click File. The File tab opens.
4. Associate the spline to a local coordinate system.
5. Click
. The
Open dialog box appears.
6. Select a CAV Pts file and click Open. The data file is read and the spline coordinates of the selected spline are modified to match.
|  If the number of points in the file is not equal to the number of points in the spline, you are asked if you want to continue. Respond yes to adjust the number of spline points to correspond to the number of points in the file. Respond no to abort the reading of the point file. |
