To Change Overall and Dimension Tolerances
This procedure applies to most application. If you use the Menu Manager in your application, select a procedure under Using the Menu Manager to Edit.
1. Set the configuration option tol_display to yes, or click File > Options > Entity Display, and under Dimensions, annotations, notes and reference designators display settings, select the Show dimension tolerances check box. The general tolerances for the part are displayed in the bottom area of the graphics window.
2. To show the dimension tolerance ranges for a feature, right-click the feature in the Model Tree and choose Edit, or double-click the feature in the graphics window.
3. Select the tolerance or the tolerances you want to change.
4. If you are changing a general tolerance:
a. Select the tolerance. A value box appears in the message area.
b. Type a new value and click . The new tolerance value is displayed.
5. If you are changing one dimension tolerance value for a feature, follow one of the procedures below:
Select the dimension tolerance, right-click, and choose Value. A value box appears. Type or select a value.
Double-click the dimension tolerance. A value box appears. Type or select a value.
Select the dimension tolerance (both the upper limit and lower limit are selected), right-click and select Properties. The Dimension Properties dialog box opens. Type new values in the Upper tolerance and the Lower tolerance boxes.
6. If you are changing more than one dimension tolerance:
a. Select the dimensions to change, right-click, and select Properties. The Dimension Properties dialog box opens.
b. Type new values in the Upper tolerance and Lower tolerance boxes.
c. Click OK.
7. To leave the edit dimension state, but remain in editing mode, right-click and choose Exit Edit Dimension. The Selection Filter changes to All.
