A regular section cosmetic feature stays where you sketch it, whether in space or on a part surface. It is a flat feature.

You can crosshatch a regular section cosmetic feature when you create it, or you can edit the definition of an existing section and add cross-hatching.

If you create a cosmetic feature as a pattern, any changes to a member of the pattern, including crosshatch modification, also changes every other member of the pattern.
