About the Symmetry Recognition Feature User Interface
The Symmetry Recognition tab consists of commands, tabs, and shortcut menus. Select two surfaces/surface regions, or one surface/surface region and a symmetry plane, and click Flexible Modeling > Symmetry Recognition to open the Symmetry Recognition tab.
Shortcut Menus
Right-click the graphics window to access shortcut menu commands.
Seeds/Seed and Symmetry Plane—Activates collection of the surfaces, surface regions, and the symmetry plane that define the Symmetry Recognition feature.
Curves and Datums (1st Seed)—Activates collection of the curves and datums to include in the Symmetry Recognition feature.
Commands
Symmetry type menu—Sets the symmetry recognition in relation to the selected surface.
Identical—Recognizes a surface or surface region that is identical to the selected surface or surface region, and the intersection edges between the surfaces and the surrounding geometry are identical.
Similar—Recognizes a surface or surface region that is identical to the selected surface or surface region, but their intersection edges with the surrounding geometry can vary.
Surfaces and symmetry plane collector—Shows the two surfaces/surface regions, or one surface/surface region and a symmetry plane, that define the Symmetry Recognition feature.
Tabs
