To Add a Gtol to a Legacy Drawing
1. Click Insert > Geometric Tolerance. The Geometric Tolerance dialog box opens. Model Refs is selected.
2. Specify the model to which the gtol is to be added. By default, the current gtol model is the current drawing model.
3. Select the gtol type.
4. Specify the reference entity (the type of entity to which the gtol applies).
5. Click Place Gtol. If the gtol is attached directly to a datum, it is displayed (Datum is selected in the Type menu). Otherwise, make a selection on the Type menu.
6. Specify the datum references and material conditions, if applicable.
7. Specify a tolerance value and material condition, if applicable.
8. Specify symbols and modifiers, the profile direction, and the projected tolerance zone, if applicable. The complete gtol now displays in the drawing.
9. To adjust the placement, click Move.
10. Select the gtol in the drawing. The gtol moves dynamically with the cursor until you place it in a new location.
11. Click OK to close the dialog box and save the changes or click New Gtol to continue.
The reference entity selection and placement information is cleared from the dialog box, but all other data is retained. When you enter the gtol creation mode again, it retains all options in the previous session of gtol creation for the object in the current window (model or drawing).
To quit out of the gtol creation mode and cancel the changes, click Cancel.
