About Working with Drawings in Legacy
You can use Legacy Drawing mode to import drawings created in other CAD systems and maintain them in Creo Parametric format, modify existing geometry or add new geometry and annotations, output drawings to other formats, and plot an entire or clipped drawing.
Legacy drawings can contain 2D geometry and annotations. You can use various drafting tools to sketch view geometry. To assign all geometry and items that pertain to a particular view, you can use Legacy 2D views. These are different from Creo Parametric model views that reference the 3D model. They enable you to group entities that act as one entity when you perform procedures such as scaling, deleting, or moving a view about the drawing. You can retrieve Creo Parametric drawings in Legacy and vice versa. When you retrieve a drawing in Creo Parametric, you can move Legacy 2D views as model views, and manipulate view geometry individually as draft entities.
