About Trimming Entities to a Specified Bounding Entity or Point
To adjust the length of selected entities, use Trim. The geometry definition is used to find the intersection of the entity with the bounding entity. If an intersection cannot be calculated, the entity is not trimmed. Trim does not work in the following instances:
• When a spline does not intersect the bounding entity
• When the continuation of an arc does not intersect the bounding geometry
