To Create an External Analysis Feature
1. Click Analysis > Analysis. The ANALYSIS dialog box opens.
2. Under Name, accept the default name or type the name for the analysis.
3. Under Type, select External Analysis.
4. Under RegenRequest, specify the regeneration option by clicking one of the following options:
Always—Always regenerate the analysis feature during the model regeneration.
Read Only—Exclude the analysis feature from the model regeneration.
Only Design Study—Regenerate the analysis feature only when it is used by a design study.
5. Click Next to define the analysis. The External Analysis dialog box opens.
6. To retrieve a previously saved analysis, click Saved Analyses and select the analysis. You can also define a new analysis as required.
7. Click Compute to perform the analysis.
8. Click Close to return to the ANALYSIS dialog box.
The Result params window opens. All cells selected for the output settings appear in the Result params table. The table lists the parameter status, parameter name, and description.
9. To create a parameter, select it from the Result params table and click YES under Create.
10. Under Param name, accept the default name or type a name for the parameter.
11. Click to create the External Analysis feature or click to exit without saving any changes.
