To Create a PTC Mathcad Prime Analysis Feature
1. Click Analysis > Analysis. The ANALYSIS dialog box opens.
2. Under Name, specify a name for the analysis or accept the default name.
3. Under Type, click Prime Analysis.
4. Under RegenRequest, specify the regeneration option by clicking one of the following:
Always—Always regenerate the analysis feature during the model regeneration.
Read Only—Exclude the analysis feature from the model regeneration.
Only Design Study—Regenerate the analysis feature only when it is used by a design study.
5. Click Next. The Prime Analysis dialog box opens.
6. To retrieve a previously saved analysis, click Saved Analyses and select the required analysis.
To load an existing PTC Mathcad Prime file, click Load File and select a file with a.mcdx extension. To create a new PTC Mathcad Prime file, click New File
7. After loading or creating the PTC Mathcad Prime file, define the analysis as required.

* If you have created a new file, saving the file will automatically load it into the current analysis feature. Click Reload File to reload the file associated with the current analysis feature.
8. Click Compute to run the analysis.
9. Click Close to return to the ANALYSIS dialog box.
The Result params window opens. All PTC Mathcad Prime output variables appear in the Result params table. The table lists the status, alias name, and description of each parameter.
10. To create a Creo Parametric parameter, select it from the Result params table and set the Create option to YES.
11. Under Param name, type a name for the Creo Parametric parameter or accept the default name. The default name of the Creo Parametric parameter is MC_Ptc Mathcadaliasname, where ptc Mathcadaliasname is alias name of the PTC Mathcad Prime output variable.
12. Click Next to create a PTC Mathcad Prime output file, datum points, a datum curve, or a datum coordinate system.
The Result datums window appears. The table lists the creation status, the name of the datum to be created, and its description.
Select the file name from the Result datums table and set Create to YES. To change the default name of the output file, enter the desired name in the Datum name box.
13. To create an output file, select the appropriate row from the Result datums table and set Create to YES. By default, Create is set to NO. To change the default name of the output file, enter the desired name in the Datum name box.
14. To create datum points, select the appropriate row from the Result datums table and retain the YES value for the Create option. Create is set to YES by default. To change the default names of the datum points, enter the desired name in the Datum name box.
15. To create a datum curve, select the appropriate row from the Result datums table and set Create to YES. By default, Create is set to NO. To change the default name of the datum curve, enter the desired name in the Datum name box.
16. To create a datum coordinate system, select the appropriate row from the Result datums table and retain the YES value for the Create option. Create is set to YES by default. To change the default name of the datum coordinate system, enter the desired name in the Datum name box.
17. Click to create the PTC Mathcad Prime analysis feature, or click to exit without saving any changes.
