1. Click Model > Operate > Replace to replace a component of the manufacturing assembly. For example, a reference part, by a member of the same part family. The Replace dialog box opens.

2. Select the new component to replace.

3. The Family Tree dialog box opens with a list of instances (including the generic part). Click Edit > Show Table if you want to see the dimensions and features associated with each instance.

4. Select the replacement instance from the menu.

5. Click OK to Regenerate.
