To Assign Values to References and Variables
When you create a custom cycle, you must assign values to all references and variables that do not have a value listed in the Cycle References box on the References tab.
1. In the Cycle References box, select the reference or variable.
2. Use the list below this box to enter a value:
◦ To assign a reference, you must select a surface, a datum point, or a quilt. If you select a slanted or non-planar surface as a reference, the height is determined at the point of intersection of the surface with the hole axis. You can also select and type the Z–offset value of the NC sequence coordinate system.
◦ To instantiate a variable, you must type a value in the list.
