About Auto Drilling
Auto Drilling is an advanced way of creating Holemaking NC sequences. It is easy to use and reduces the time required to program multiple tool paths.
The Auto Drilling user interface is based on a single dialog box. The system automatically identifies all the holes present in the model and lists them in a single table. You can customize the look of the table by selecting the parameters you want to display and changing the width of the columns.
To create Holemaking NC sequences, you select the holes to machine, and specify which drilling method to use for each hole by selecting from a list of preset Hole Strategies. These Hole Strategies are based on Manufacturing UDFs.
You can also edit the values of hole parameters, such as hole dimensions, upper and lower tolerances, or thread parameters. These values override the design part information when you are creating the Auto Drilling sequences.
