To Insert a Note with a Leader
1. On the Annotate tab, click the arrow next to Leader Note and then choose a creation method:
◦ Click Leader Note to add a note with an angled leader.
◦ Click Tangent Leader Note to offset a note with a leader tangent to a selected entity.
◦ Click Normal Leader Note to add a note perpendicular to a selected entity.
Click the selected reference and middle-click to place the note. The Format tab opens.
2. Type the required note and use the Format tab commands to change any of the text properties.
3. To break any hatching that overlaps text, in the Style group, click . The Text Style dialog box opens. Click the Break hatching check box, set the value for the margins, and click OK.
4. Middle-click to exit the Format tab and select anywhere on the graphics window to exit the tool.
