The grid is a design aid that you can use when you create, place, and manipulate entities in a layout. You can set the grid as Cartesian or polar and specify the grid behavior, spacing, orientation, and origin. Use the grid commands to toggle the display and the snap of the grid. The grid is for reference only and does not print with a layout. You can set an endpoint, an arc or circle center point, a datum point, or a coordinate system as the grid origin.
