Navigating Through the Hierarchy of the Selected Object
It allows you to view the owner hierarchy of the selected object, that is, geometry or feature. You can open the hierarchy of the object in an overlay that allows you a quick view and a change of selection. You can also open the object hierarchy in a dialog box in which the mini toolbar that corresponds to the selected object is displayed. For example, you can select a hole and navigate to its parents.
1. Select a geometric entity, vertices, part, or feature. The mini toolbar appears.
2. You can perform the following tasks:
When you place the pointer over the Select from Parents command or click the adjacent , the overlay dialog appears displaying the hierarchy. When you place the pointer over the hierarchal objects in the overlay dialog box, they are highlighted in the graphics window.
When you click the Select from Parents command or pin the dialog box using the button, the Select from Parents dialog box opens. When you switch the selection of objects in the Select from Parents dialog box , the selected object is highlighted in the graphics window and the mini toolbar that corresponds to the selected object appears.
