Customizing the Quick Access Toolbar
From the Options dialog box, drag and drop the frequently used commands, galleries, and cascades to the quick access toolbar on the Graphics window or to the list on the right. You can also add commands that are not included in the ribbon by default.
Alternatively, use the arrows to add or remove commands to the list on the right.
On the ribbon, right-click the toolbar and click Customize Quick Access Toolbar. The dialog box opens with the Quick Access Toolbar customization page active by default.
Alternatively, click File > Options to open a dialog box. Under Customize, click Quick Access Toolbar.
Customizations made in the current mode are also propagated to the other PTC Creo modes. To stop propagation, on the Options dialog box, right-click Design Part to the list on the right and clear the selection of the Propagate Customization check box.
You can perform the following customizations on the Quick Access Toolbar:
To Add a Command to the Quick Access Toolbar
In the Options dialog, drag and drop commands from the commands list into the Quick Access Toolbar on the ribbon or the list on the right. You can use the arrows in-between the lists to add and remove commands.
To Remove a Command from the Quick Access Toolbar
Drag and drop the command outside the ribbon. Alternatively, on the Options dialog box, select a command, right-click, and click Remove. The command is removed from the toolbar.
To Change the Order of Commands in the Quick Access toolbar
Select a command in the list and drag and drop to the required location or click
or
as required.
To Change the Position of the Quick Access toolbar
The Quick Access Toolbar is placed above the ribbon by default. To change the position of the Quick Access Toolbar, right-click the toolbar and select one of the following:
• Quick Access Toolbar Below the Ribbon
• Show Quick Access Toolbar Above the Ribbon
To control the toolbar position, right-click the toolbar and click Customize Quick Access Toolbar. In the Options dialog box, on the Quick Access Toolbar customization page, use the Show Quick Access Toolbar below the Ribbon check box to control the toolbar position.
To Add a New Cascade
1. In the Options dialog box, under Customize, click Quick Access Toolbar to open the customization page.
2. Click New Cascade. A new cascade is added below the selected group.
3. Click Rename and specify a name for the new cascade.
4. Right-click the new cascade and click one of the following to set the behavior:
◦ Display Menu — Labels only.
◦ Display First Command — The icon of the first command irrespective of the last selected command.
◦ Display Last Used Command — The icon of the last selected command.
To Customize the Quick Access Toolbar from the Shortcut Menu
Shortcut menu that opens when you right-click the Quick Access toolbar — Allows you to customize the toolbar as follows:
• Remove from Quick Access Toolbar — Removes the command or group from the Quick Access toolbar.
• Customize Quick Access Toolbar — Displays the customization page with the Quick Access Toolbar selected by default in the Options dialog box.
• Show Quick Access Toolbar Below the Ribbon or Show Quick Access Toolbar Above the Ribbon — Displays the Quick Access toolbar below or above the ribbon, respectively.
• Customize the Ribbon — Displays the active tab Customize Ribbon in the dialog box.
• Minimize the Ribbon — Minimizes the ribbon.
To Show or Hide the Commands in the Quick Access Toolbar
on the Quick Access toolbar — Allows you to show or hide the commands on the toolbar:
• Select the check box to show the command.
• Clear the check box to hide the command.
To Stop Propagating the Quick Access Toolbar Customizations
1. In the Options dialog box, under Customize, click Quick Access Toolbar.
2. From the list on the right, right-click Design Part, and clear the selection of the Propagate Customization check box.
To Reset the Quick Access Toolbar to Default Settings
On the Quick Access Toolbar customization page, click Reset, and select any of the following options:
• Reset only selected Quick Access Toolbar — Resets the customization of the Quick Access toolbar.
|  This option is enabled only when you customize Quick Access toolbar. |
• Reset all Ribbon tabs and Quick Access Toolbar customizations — Resets all the ribbon and quick access toolbar customizations.
