Creating a Drawing of a Family Member
You can create a drawing of the generic model, as well as any member of its Family Table. You must enter the name of the instance when adding the first view to the drawing. The instance must be in use or listed in an instance index file. If you do not know the instance name, retrieve the instance using standard table retrieval methods and look at the name in the lower-right corner.

When you create part simplified representations, or assembly features that intersect a part, instances are created that do not necessarily appear on the part Family Table. The following operations cannot be performed when a hidden instance is in use:
• Feature Redefine
• Feature Reorder
• Feature Del Pattern
• Feature Reroute
• Feature Delete/Suppress/Resume (has temporary effect)
• Feature Group Unpattern
• Component Package (applicable only to affected subassemblies)
• Component Copy (applicable only to affected subassemblies)
• Relations Add/Edit
• Program Edit/Instantiate
• Edit Explode (applicable only to affected subassemblies)
• Declare
• Offset X-Section Modify
• Assembly Feature Intersect (applicable only to affected subassemblies)
• Component Replace (does not allow components to be replaced if they are intersected by or referenced by assembly features).
When adding a dimension to a Family Table of a subordinate table-driven user-defined feature (UDF), the symbols of the Family Table items are driven by the original model for the subordinate UDF.
