To Move the Model Tree Insertion Locator
You can move the Model Tree insertion locator using the shortcut menu, the drag and drop method, or the menu manager.
Right-click a feature on the Model Tree and click Insert Here. The locator is placed below the selected feature.

* The Insert Here command is available on a group or pattern header only in the collapsed state. If you expand the group or pattern it is available on the last member of the group or pattern on the Model Tree.
To move the insertion locator using the drag and drop method, perform the following steps:
1. Position the pointer over Insert Here on the Model Tree.
2. Press and hold the left mouse button and drag the pointer to the desired location. The insertion locator moves with the pointer.
3. Release the left mouse button. The insertion locator is in the new location and model orientation of the current view is retained. The model does not roll back to the new location. Creo Parametric displays a message in the message area that indicates Insert mode has been activated.
To move the insertion locator using the menu manager, perform the following steps:
1. Click Model > Operations > Feature Operations. The FEAT menu appears.
2. Click Insert Mode > Activate.
3. Select a feature on the Model Tree. The locator is placed below the selected feature.
Use the following procedure to return the insertion locator to its default position:
1. Position the pointer over Insert Here on the Model Tree.
2. Right-click to open the shortcut menu.
3. Select Cancel. The insertion locator returns to its default position. Creo Parametric displays a message in the message area that indicates Insert mode has been cancelled.
Alternatively, you can return the insertion locator to its default position by dragging the insertion locator to the bottom of the model tree.
