To Replace a View
1. You can open the Replace dialog box in the following ways:
◦ Select a view. In the
Model Views group, click
Replace View Model.
◦ Right-click the view and click
Replace View Model.
◦ On the Model Tree, right-click the view and click
Replace View Model.
2. From the Select Views box, select the view that you want to replace. When you right-click the view in the list, the following options are displayed:
◦ Remove
— Deletes the selected view. It also deletes any dependent views (if exist) of the selected view from the list. Dependent views are always added and removed together in the list.
◦ Remove All
— Deletes all the views from the list.
◦ Add all matching views in current sheet
— Selects all the matching views in current sheet.
◦ Add all matching views in the drawing
— Selects all the matching views in drawing.
3. Select the following check boxes to:
◦ Delete original view model / representation — Deletes the view model simplified representation from the drawing. Other simplified representations of this model in the drawing, if exists, is not affected.
◦ Replace callouts and repeat regions — This option is available only when you select the Delete original view model / representation check box.
4. (Optional) Select the Allow scale customization check box.
| If the Allow scale customization check box is selected, the view scale setting automatically changes to preserve the scale value of the original model. It the check box is not selected, the view scale setting does not change. The default behavior of this check box is controlled by the configuration option replace_view_mdl_custom_scale. |
5. Under the Replace By group, select any of the following options:
◦ Family Table
◦ Simplified Representation
◦ Reference Model
6. Under
Select New Model / Representation, click
. A dialog box opens related to the option that you select under the
Replace By group.
7. Select the object that you to want to replace and click OK or double click on the item.
8. Click OK on the Replace dialog box.
