To Show Dimensions in Fractional Format
You can change the format of the dimensions to either decimal or fractional.
1. Select the dimension or multiple dimensions to convert from decimal to fractional format. The Dimension ribbon tab opens.
2. Click the Dimension Format button. The Dimension Format panel opens.
3. Click Fractional option. You can specify a denominator by selecting required option under the Precision group.

* When a dimension is in the fractional format, the Decimal Places box in the Precision group changes to Largest Denominator. The value for largest denominator is taken from the value that you set for the dim_fraction_denominator configuration option. The default value of this configuration option is 32.
If you change the format of a dimension with rounded value to fractional, the stored value of the dimension is not modified. In case of driven fractional dimension, if the stored value of the dimensions cannot be expressed in the form of an exact fraction with the defined largest denominator value, the dimension value is automatically rounded. That is, on the Dimension ribbon tab, the Round Dimension check box appears selected and is grayed out.
