To Save a Table
Use the following procedures to save a table as a table file, text file, or a CSV file.
To Save a Table as a Table File
1. Select the table or a cell of a table to save.
2. On the
Table tab, click
Save Table. The
Save Drawing Table dialog box opens.
3. Browse to the location where you want to save the table.
4. Type a name for the table. The file is saved in your current working directory with a .tbl extension. The filename is assigned a unique version number to prevent overwriting tables with the same name.
To Save a Table as a Text File
1. Select the table or a cell of a table to save.
2. On the
Table tab, click the arrow next to
Save Table and then click
Save as Text. The
Save Drawing Table dialog box opens.
3. Browse to the location where you want to save the table as a text file.
4. Type a name for the file and click Save. The file is saved in the specified location with the name filename.txt.1.
To Save a Table as a CSV File
1. Select the table or a cell of a table to save.
2. On the
Table tab, click the arrow next to
Save Table and then click
Save as CSV. The
Save Drawing Table dialog box opens.
| A CSV file is a Comma Separated Value file. You can open a CSV file in a spreadsheet application or a text editor. |
3. Browse to the location where you want to save the table as a CSV file.
4. Type a name for the file and click Save. The file is saved in the specified location with the name filename.csv.1.
