To Save a Drawing as an Image File
You can capture the current drawing using the Save a Copy command, or you can "plot" any number of the drawing sheets to an image file using the Print command. The following types of image files are supported:
JPG—Compressed file for Web viewing (Plot Only)
TIFF—Detail-rich image file suitable for printing (Screen capture or Plot)
To Save the Current Drawing to a TIFF File
1. Open a drawing to save.
2. Click File > Save As > Export. The Export Setup dashboard opens.
3. Select TIFF in the Configure group.
4. Click Export. The Save a Copy dialog box opens.
Alternatively, click File > Save As > Save a Copy to open the Save a Copy dialog box.
5. Under New file name, type the required new file name.
6. From the Type list, select TIFF.
7. Click OK.
8. Click Yes when prompted. The file is created.
To Plot a Whole Sheet as a TIFF or a JPG File
1. Open a drawing to publish.
2. Select a drawing sheet to plot.
3. Click File > Print > Print. The Print Preview dashboard opens.
4. Click Settings. The Printer Configuration dialog box opens.
5. Click and select Add Printer Type. The Add Printer Type dialog box opens.
6. Select JPEG or TIFF from the list and click OK.
7. Click To file under Destination in the Printer Configuration dialog box
8. Click OK. The Print to File dialog box opens.
9. Specify the file name and click OK to close the Print to File dialog box.
10. Click OK to save the settings and close the Printer Configuration dialog box.
11. Click Export to plot the sheet.
