To Create a Draft Axis
1. On the
Annotate tab, in the
Annotations group, click the arrow next to
Draft Datum, and click
Draft Datum Axis. The
Select Point dialog box opens.
2. Select one of the following options on the Select Point dialog box to specify the start point of the datum plane:
◦ Pick Pnt
◦ Vertex
◦ On Entity
◦ Rel Coords
◦ Abs Coords
3. Click on the required location in the drawing to start drawing the axis.
4. Move the mouse pointer to extend the axis to the proper orientation (the axis line drags with the mouse). Place the endpoint by clicking again.
5. Type the name of the axis. The system displays the name.
6. To move or reorient the axis, you can move or clip it by selecting the axis and then clicking anywhere in the drawing window, or in the Edit group, click Rotate or Translate.
